Pilates with Lainie is a Pilates class that offers a variety of exercises to feel stronger, more flexible, and maintain/improve your overall wellbeing. My classes are suitable for all fitness levels.
I recommend wearing comfortable workout clothes that allow for a full range of motion.
You can book classes through Class Fit. I recommend signing up in advance to ensure your spot in class.
As long as you have been given the 'all clear' by your doctor. It is important that you listen to your body and avoid exercises that aggravate the troubled areas.
All of my classes are mixed ability, which means everyone is welcome. I will always demonstrate and explain each exercise as well as offer alternatives to progress or regress certain moves. If you are completely new to exercise, then I suggest booking a 1:1 session with me to get your head around the basics.
As long as you've had the 'all clear' from your doctor. It is usually recommended that you wait 6 weeks after giving birth (sometimes longer if you have had a C-Section) Pilates is a gentle and safe way to ease your body back into exercise after giving birth. Listen to your body and give yourself plenty of time and patience.
